Yeedi M16 Infinity Review: A Powerful Robot Vacuum With Smarter Mopping and Low-Maintenance Cleaning

Today, we’re taking a detailed look at the Yeedi M16 Infinity, the eighth Yeedi robot vacuum we’ve reviewed out of more than 140 models tested overall. Our experience with Yeedi has been somewhat mixed over the years, but its recent M and S series—particularly the 14 and 16 lines—have been genuinely impressive. The M16 Infinity stood out immediately because, on paper, it appeared to fix several of our biggest complaints with the M14 Plus. After spending time with it, it’s clear that it largely lives up to that promise.

It’s also worth noting that Yeedi operates under the same umbrella as Ecovacs, which explains some of the similarities to models like the Ecovacs T90. Rather than competing directly, Yeedi tends to position itself as a more budget-friendly alternative within that shared ecosystem. Design, Build, and First Impressions

Unboxing the M16 Infinity leaves a strong first impression. The package itself is fairly minimal, including just the essentials: the robot, a multi-purpose cleaning station with a removable ramp, a detachable power cord, a bottle of cleaning solution, and standard documentation. There are no extras like spare mop rollers or additional vacuum bags, which may disappoint some users, but it keeps the presentation clean and straightforward.

Where the M16 Infinity really stands out is in its design. Compared to older Yeedi models, the fit and finish feel noticeably more refined. The textures, color choices, and overall aesthetic of both the robot and its base station give it a more premium feel. After testing so many robot vacuums, it’s rare for a model to stand out visually, but this one manages to do so.

That said, the slimmer profile does come with a small trade-off. After regular use, we noticed some light scratching on the top cover, likely from contact with low furniture. The embedded front sensors and reduced height help it reach deeper under cabinets and tight spaces, but they also increase the chance of occasional contact.

Navigation and Everyday Cleaning

In daily use, the M16 Infinity performs confidently. Navigation is fast and fluid, with no noticeable hiccups or erratic behavior. While it doesn’t feature an extended side brush like some competitors, Yeedi continues to rely on a uniquely shaped and positioned brush system to maintain effective edge coverage.

In a busy, pet-filled home, it handled typical debris like hair, crumbs, and fine dust without issue. One of the most significant upgrades here is the new conical anti-tangle brush roller. This is something we’ve been wanting since the M14 Plus, and it delivers exactly as hoped. Hair wrap was virtually nonexistent during testing, making maintenance much easier over time.

Mopping Performance

Mopping is easily one of the M16 Infinity’s strongest areas. The larger roller mop not only improves overall cleaning performance but also extends outward to better reach along edges and into corners. In testing, floors consistently came out looking spotless.

The system is also highly automated. The base station handles mop washing, scrubbing, and drying without any manual intervention, and the inclusion of a dedicated cleaning solution tank is a welcome addition. This is a feature often removed in more budget-oriented models, so its presence here adds real value.

Roller mop systems like this have some clear advantages. They clean with fresh water continuously, making them especially effective on wet messes, and they apply more consistent downward pressure, which can help lift tougher stains. The trade-off is that they may require slightly more frequent maintenance, particularly in homes with heavy pet hair, but the performance benefits are hard to ignore.

Suction Power vs. Real-World Results

On paper, the M16 Infinity boasts an impressive 30,000 Pa of suction, putting it in line with some significantly more expensive competitors. However, as always, real-world performance tells a more complete story.

In airflow testing, it slightly exceeded average results, and pressure measurements came in just below the norm. In practical deep-clean carpet tests, performance was a bit more mixed. It did well with lighter debris but struggled somewhat with heavier, deeply embedded particles like sand.

This likely comes down to the anti-tangle brush design, which prioritizes reduced maintenance over maximum agitation. For many users—especially pet owners—this is a worthwhile trade-off. While it may not lead the pack in deep carpet extraction, it significantly reduces the need for constant brush cleaning, which can make a bigger difference in everyday use.

It’s also a good reminder that high advertised suction numbers don’t always translate directly into better cleaning. Factors like brush design, floor type, and debris composition all play a major role.

Docking Station and Automation

The included base station is a highlight, offering a fully automated cleaning experience. It features hot water mop washing and hot air drying, along with automatic dustbin emptying and a built-in solution tank. Altogether, it creates a system that requires very little day-to-day intervention.

The mop lift is rated at 15 mm, which is sufficient for most scenarios, although there’s no dedicated mop cover included. Even so, the overall experience remains highly convenient and efficient.

Battery Life and Coverage

Battery performance varies depending on how the vacuum is used. Under lighter settings, the M16 Infinity delivers excellent coverage, easily handling large areas in a single run. When pushed to maximum suction on carpet, runtime drops more noticeably, which is fairly typical for robot vacuums in this category.

On hard floors, cleaning speed and efficiency are right in line with expectations, delivering consistent, reliable performance without any major surprises.

Obstacle Avoidance and App Experience

Obstacle avoidance is another area where the M16 Infinity performs well. It scored well above average in our testing, successfully navigating around most common household items with only minor issues. Performance was consistent across both hard floors and carpet, which is not always the case with robot vacuums.

The Yeedi app rounds out the experience with a clean and intuitive interface. It supports all the expected features, including room and zone cleaning, multi-floor mapping, no-go zones, and voice assistant integration. Additional tools like AI stain detection and maintenance tracking add extra convenience.

While it may not offer the same level of deep customization as some higher-end competitors, it strikes a good balance between functionality and ease of use.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Yeedi M16 Infinity feels like the most complete Yeedi robot vacuum we’ve tested so far. It successfully builds on the foundation of the M14 Plus, addressing key shortcomings while introducing meaningful upgrades like the anti-tangle roller, improved obstacle avoidance, and a more capable mopping system.

There are still areas for improvement. Edge cleaning could be more precise, and additional customization options—particularly for mopping behavior—would make the experience even better. Features like a true mop-only mode or optional video monitoring would also help it compete more directly with flagship models.

Even so, the M16 Infinity gets the fundamentals right. It delivers excellent mopping performance, strong automation, and low-maintenance operation in a package that feels refined and thoughtfully designed. While it may not lead in deep carpet cleaning, it excels in the areas that matter most for everyday use.
