Unboxing the Roborock Saros 10R
The retail packaging for the Saros 10R will likely feature Roborock’s signature branding, product images, and highlights of its standout features, such as the AdaptaLift chassis for tackling thresholds and the StarSight 2.0 navigation system. You’ll also see details about the multi-functional Dock 4.0, which handles washing, drying, and self-emptying for the vacuum.
Inside the box, you’ll find:
Product Literature: A comprehensive user guide and a foldable voice control card with common Rocky commands for easy reference.
Mopping Modules: Pre-installed with a Velcro-attached pad for quick replacement.
Extra Vacuum Bag: One is already installed, but an extra is included for convenience.
Power Cord and Cable: A standard plug-in setup.
Plastic Honeycomb Ramp: Designed for the docking station.
The Vacuum and Docking Station: The stars of the show.

Design and Build
The Saros 10R boasts an ultra-slim profile at just 3.14 inches, making it perfect for navigating under furniture. At the top, you’ll find two control buttons and Roborock’s logo, with a two-tone finish—glossy black on top and matte on the bottom. The magnetic cover reveals the dustbin and a reset button. The dustbin itself is easy to remove, and a voice prompt guides you through filter maintenance
Navigation and Sensors
The vacuum’s StarSight autonomous system is front and center, enabling seamless navigation and obstacle avoidance without a LiDAR module on top. Sensors along the sides and front ensure precise movement, while the FlexiArm Riser extends during cleaning to reach corners effectively.
Underneath the Vacuum
Flipping the vacuum over, you’ll notice:
Spring-Loaded Drive Wheels: Equipped with the AdaptaLift chassis to handle tall thresholds.
DuoDivide Roller Brush: A conical design that forces hair to the center for tangle-free cleaning—ideal for homes with pets or long-haired individuals.
Side Brush and Cliff Sensors: For edge cleaning and fall prevention.
Magnetic Mop Pads: Easily attachable and extendable for thorough edge cleaning.

The Docking Station
The multi-functional Dock 4.0 is a highlight of the Saros 10R. At the top, you’ll find clearly marked clean and dirty water tanks with massive grip handles for easy removal. The station also features:
Vacuum Bag Compartment: Easily accessible for replacement.
Solution Holder: For Roborock’s cleaning solution.
Removable Tray: Simplifies maintenance by allowing you to rinse off debris buildup.
The ramp clips into place effortlessly, ensuring the vacuum docks securely for charging, washing, and self-emptying.
First Clean and Results
After setting up the Saros 10R, I put it to the test in my home, which includes a long-haired dog and three individuals with shoulder-length hair. The results were impressive:
Dustbin Contents: Packed with hair, dust, and debris after just one pass.
DuoDivide Roller Brush: Lived up to the hype with zero hair tangles.
Mop Pads: Looked as good as new after the first wash, thanks to the dock’s cleaning system.
Removable Tray: Showed minimal debris buildup, making maintenance a breeze.

Final Thoughts
The Roborock Saros 10R excels in its DuoDivide roller brush, slim design, and AdaptaLift chassis, making it ideal for homes with pets, long hair, or challenging thresholds. While obstacle avoidance could improve, and the power cord design is a minor drawback, this vacuum offers exceptional value for its premium price. If you’re looking for a top-tier robot vacuum, the Saros 10R is a strong contender.
