Unboxing & Setup

The unboxing experience feels premium and well organized. Inside the box, you’ll find the main unit, a snap-in handle, charging base, power cord, an extra washable filter, a cleaning brush, a bottle of foam cleaning solution formulated specifically for the machine, and the product literature.

Setup is refreshingly simple. You just snap the handle into place, fully charge the battery, fill the clean water tank, add the recommended amount of foam solution, and you’re ready to clean. From box to first run, the process is quick and straightforward.

Price & Market Position

At MSRP, the Roborock F25 ACE Pro is priced hundreds of dollars above the average wet-dry vacuum in this category. As the first foam spray model we’ve tested, some of that premium likely reflects its innovation. While we’re already seeing it listed below MSRP, it still sits well above the category average.

At this price level, expectations are high. Strong performance isn’t optional — it’s required. So how does it stack up against the 35+ wet-dry vacuums we’ve personally tested?

Suction & Real-World Performance

On paper, the F25 ACE Pro boasts 25,000 Pascals of suction power, the highest rating we’ve seen so far and comfortably above the 19,000 Pascal category average. For context, the next highest model we’ve tested delivered 23,000 Pascals.

In our studio testing, airflow peaked at an impressive 562 feet per minute, significantly outperforming the 413 ft/min average. In-use pressure, however, measured slightly below average at 0.94 kPa compared to the 1.28 kPa category average. We’re still analyzing how these lab specs consistently translate to real-world results, so that data point should be viewed in context.

What matters most is how it performs in everyday cleaning, and in our testing, it feels powerful and capable. It absolutely competes near the top of the category.

Runtime & Battery Experience

The unit is rated for up to 60 minutes of runtime, compared to the 42-minute category average. As always, that figure reflects ideal lab conditions. In real-world use — especially when running Max mode or frequently using the foam spray trigger — battery life will be shorter.

We found Auto mode to be the most practical for general cleaning, switching to foam spray when tackling visibly dirty spots. That workflow felt efficient and balanced.

One minor drawback at this price tier is the battery display, which shows percentages in increments of five rather than exact numbers. It’s a small detail, but precise battery readouts contribute to a more premium user experience.

The Foam Spray System

The foam spray feature is undeniably the headline innovation here. Spraying foam directly onto your floors feels futuristic and, admittedly, a bit fun. It adds a visual element to cleaning that most wet-dry vacuums simply don’t offer.

There is a slight delay between pulling the trigger and the foam activating, and it continues spraying briefly after release. It’s not a major issue, but it does require a bit of timing awareness to avoid spraying cabinets or baseboards.

Whether foam is more effective than traditional hot water spray ultimately comes down to personal preference. From a practical standpoint, some users may prefer hot water, but from an innovation and “cool factor” perspective, the foam system certainly sets this model apart. We also appreciate that Roborock includes a dedicated solution tank, which many competitors still omit.

Tank Capacity & Handling

With a 1,000 ml clean water tank and a 720 ml dirty water tank, capacity is comfortably above average. Larger tanks mean fewer interruptions during longer cleaning sessions, which is especially helpful for bigger homes.

Despite the generous capacity, the vacuum doesn’t feel unwieldy. Because the tanks sit over the brush head rather than inside the handle, weight distribution remains manageable. The inclusion of auto-assist wheels further reduces fatigue by helping propel the unit forward and backward, making it feel lighter during use than the specs might suggest.

Design & Maneuverability

The F25 ACE Pro features a true 180-degree flat design, allowing it to reach under furniture as low as five inches. Dual-edge cleaning helps with baseboards and corners, and the anti-tangle comb design performs well with long human hair and pet hair. In our household — which definitely qualifies as a hairy one — it has done an excellent job minimizing tangles.

That said, the unit sits just slightly taller than many competitors. In our kitchen, it’s a few millimeters too tall to fully slide under cabinet toe kicks. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it is noticeable during routine cleaning. We would personally accept slightly more vertical weight if it meant gaining improved low-clearance reach.

Self-Cleaning System

One of the most premium aspects of this vacuum is its automated self-cleaning cycle. After each session, the roller brush undergoes a 203°F hot water wash followed by 203°F hot air drying. Users can choose between a quick five-minute refresh or a quieter 30-minute deep cycle.

The result is a sanitized, odor-free brush that’s ready for the next use. It’s one of the most advanced self-cleaning systems currently available in this category.

Areas for Improvement

While performance is strong, a few refinements would make the overall package even better. The absence of an LED headlight is particularly puzzling at this price point, especially when other models in the lineup include excellent lighting. An LED feels like it should be standard in this tier.

We would also like to see tighter shut-off timing. When locking the handle upright to power down, the unit tends to run for about a second longer while still in contact with the floor. It’s a small detail, but it affects the overall polish of the experience.

Final Thoughts

The Roborock F25 ACE Pro is a bold, high-performing wet-dry vacuum that pushes innovation forward with its foam spray system, class-leading suction on paper, excellent real-world airflow, strong runtime, large tank capacity, and premium hot water self-cleaning system.

From a pure performance standpoint, it absolutely competes at the top of the category. It cleans well, feels powerful, and offers convenience features that make day-to-day use easier.

However, it also commands a premium price. And with that price comes higher expectations. The foam spray system is unique and engaging, but whether it delivers better results than traditional hot water spray will depend on your personal preferences. A few small upgrades — especially the addition of an LED headlight — would further strengthen the value proposition.

If you’re looking for one of the most powerful and feature-rich wet-dry vacuums available and like the idea of foam-assisted cleaning, the Roborock F25 ACE Pro is a compelling option. If you’re more price-sensitive or prefer a simpler approach, there are other strong performers available at lower price points.

As always, the right choice comes down to which features matter most to you — and how much you’re willing to pay for them.
