MOVA V70 Ultra Complete Review: A Flagship Robot Vacuum That Pushes Automation Further

The MOVA V70 Ultra Complete is MOVA’s latest flagship robot vacuum, and it’s one of the most ambitious models the company has released to date. With a massive 42,000 Pa suction rating, a redesigned Eco-Cyclone bagless dock, and one of the most advanced mopping systems we’ve seen, the V70 is packed with features aimed at making robot vacuum ownership as hands-free as possible.

This is the seventh MOVA robot vacuum we’ve tested and the 149th robot vacuum overall in our testing database, giving us plenty of context for how it compares against the competition.

First Impressions and What’s Included

The “Ultra Complete” version lives up to its name. Right out of the box, MOVA includes just about everything you could need for months of cleaning.

Alongside the robot and its multifunction docking station, you’ll find multiple replacement mop pads, extra filters, a spare side brush, an extra set of main roller brushes, and two different cleaning solutions. One solution is designed for everyday floor cleaning, while the second is formulated specifically for pet messes and works with the dock’s dual cleaning solution system.

The biggest surprise isn’t what’s included—it’s what’s missing.

Unlike most premium robot vacuums, the V70 doesn’t come with replacement dust bags because it doesn’t need them. MOVA replaces traditional disposable bags with its new Eco-Cyclone bagless dust tank, a reusable collection system that eliminates one of the most common ongoing maintenance costs of owning a self-emptying robot vacuum. It’s a simple change, but it’s easily one of our favorite new features on the V70.

Familiar Design With One Big Upgrade

At first glance, the V70 Ultra Complete looks very similar to other premium MOVA models and several Dreame flagships. That’s not a bad thing—the overall design already feels polished and premium.

The biggest physical difference is found along the side of the robot. MOVA has redesigned the mopping system so one mop can extend well beyond the body of the robot, allowing it to clean edges, underneath cabinets, and around furniture legs much more effectively than a traditional circular mop.

The V70 also keeps MOVA’s excellent conical main roller brush, which continues to do an impressive job resisting hair tangles. During our testing, carpets came away looking freshly vacuumed with clean, defined carpet lines and very little hair wrapped around the brush.

Setup Was Fast and Navigation Was Reliable

Getting started with the V70 was refreshingly easy. Initial setup took only a few minutes, and the robot quickly created an accurate map of our home on its first run.

Navigation throughout our testing was smooth and confident. The robot moved efficiently between rooms, recognized furniture well, and rarely appeared confused or hesitant during cleaning cycles. While we’ve seen a few early user reports mentioning mapping quirks, our experience was consistently reliable.

Does 42,000 Pa Actually Matter?

The headline feature is impossible to ignore: 42,000 Pa of suction power. On paper, that’s the highest suction rating we’ve tested in a robot vacuum, exceeding the category average by more than three times and even surpassing MOVA’s own P70 Pro Ultra by 12,000 Pa.

Naturally, we expected the V70 to dominate our performance testing.

The results were a little more complicated.

In our airflow testing, the V70 measured 420 FPM during our carpet in-use airflow test. That’s actually just below our overall average of 425 FPM and slightly behind both the MOVA Z60 and V50. Carpet pressure testing told a similar story, with the V70 measuring 0.18 kPa, again landing below average and behind those same models.

Those numbers were surprising considering the advertised suction. We’ve seen dual-brush systems perform similarly before, but we still expected the V70 to produce stronger airflow and pressure results given its specifications.

Fortunately, real-world cleaning paints a much better picture.

Strong Real-World Cleaning Performance

While the lab measurements didn’t completely live up to the suction claims, the V70 performed much better during actual debris pickup testing.

It earned 90 out of 100 in our coffee grounds test, slightly above the category average and matching the V50 and Z60. It also picked up 55% of sand in our sand test and an impressive 93% of cat litter, making it one of the stronger performers in that category.

The only robot we’ve tested recently that outperformed it across all three cleaning tests was the Mova P10 Pro Ultra Gen 2. So while the V70 may not redefine vacuuming performance, it’s still a genuinely excellent cleaner in everyday use.

Obstacle Avoidance Is One of the Best We’ve Tested

Obstacle avoidance continues to be one of MOVA’s strengths, and the V70 is no exception.

It achieved a 96% obstacle avoidance score, which is dramatically higher than our overall category average of 69%. It tied the V50 and outperformed the Z60, successfully avoiding almost every object we placed in its path.

Its performance was nearly identical on both hard floors and carpet. The robot’s only mistake was lightly bumping into a USB cable on carpet, preventing it from earning a perfect score.

For households with pets, toys, charging cables, or everyday clutter, that’s a meaningful advantage.

The V70’s Biggest Strength Is Mopping

If there’s one area where the V70 truly stands apart from most flagship robot vacuums, it’s mopping.

MOVA has equipped the robot with 212°F hot-water mop washing and 158°F hot-air drying, making this one of the hottest self-cleaning dock systems we’ve tested. The dock automatically washes the mop pads, dries them, dispenses cleaning solution, and cleans itself with minimal user intervention.

The real star, though, is the extending mop.

The V70’s mop can extend more than six inches beyond the robot, allowing it to clean underneath overhanging furniture and much closer to edges than nearly any competing robot vacuum currently available.

Watching it navigate around chair legs and furniture is genuinely impressive. Areas that normally require manual mopping receive noticeably better coverage thanks to the extended reach.

Our luxury vinyl plank floors looked excellent after mopping, and coverage around furniture was noticeably improved compared to traditional rotating mop designs.

There is still one small improvement we’d like to see. When cleaning tight 90-degree corners, the robot extends the mop but doesn’t reverse quite far enough to maximize its reach. Backing up just a few centimeters could help it clean those corners even more thoroughly.

A Dock That Eliminates Disposable Dust Bags

The docking station deserves its own discussion because it’s one of the V70’s most innovative features.

MOVA’s new Eco-Cyclone bagless dust tank replaces disposable vacuum bags entirely. Instead of filling and replacing bags every few months, owners simply empty the reusable dust container.

It’s a small ownership improvement that adds up over time. Not only does it reduce ongoing costs, but it also creates less waste.

Beyond dust collection, the dock handles nearly every maintenance task automatically. It empties the robot, washes the mop pads, dries them with hot air, dispenses cleaning solution, cleans the roller, and keeps itself remarkably clean in the process.

We’d genuinely like to see MOVA offer this Eco-Cyclone system as an upgrade for older MOVA and Dreame docks.

Battery Efficiency Is Better Than Expected

Flagship robot vacuums often sacrifice battery efficiency in exchange for higher cleaning performance, but the V70 manages a better balance than we expected.

It uses a 6,400 mAh battery, which is exactly what we’d expect in a premium model.

Instead of focusing on advertised runtime, we measure how much area a robot cleans per battery percentage consumed. In our testing, the V70 cleaned about 21 square feet for every 1% of battery, which is almost exactly average overall.

More importantly, that’s a surprisingly efficient result for a robot with this much advertised suction. Cleaning speed averaged about 9 square feet per minute, slightly below average, but it never felt noticeably slow during everyday cleaning.

One of the Most Feature-Rich Robot Vacuum Apps Available

The MOVA app is packed with customization options.

Users can adjust suction power, water flow, mop intensity, cleaning order, carpet behavior, room-specific settings, and custom routines with an incredible amount of detail. The app also supports multi-floor maps, no-go zones, voice assistants through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, live video monitoring, and remote control.

For power users, it’s excellent.

For first-time robot vacuum owners, it can feel a little overwhelming simply because there are so many options available. That learning curve is probably the biggest downside of an otherwise outstanding software experience.

Excellent Features for Pet Owners

MOVA also includes several thoughtful pet-focused features that go beyond ordinary cleaning.

Pet Voice Interaction lets you play sounds through the robot while you’re away, while Pet Finding Mode uses the onboard camera to help locate pets inside your home and even capture snapshots.

The app can also identify areas where your pet spends the most time and automatically prioritize those spaces as cleaning hotspots.

Combined with the robot’s excellent obstacle avoidance and strong hair handling, the V70 feels especially well suited for homes with pets.

Where the V70 Still Falls Short

For all of its innovations, the V70 isn’t perfect.

The biggest disappointment is that its record-setting 42,000 Pa suction rating doesn’t translate into equally record-setting vacuuming performance. Our airflow, carpet pressure, and pickup testing all suggest it’s an excellent cleaner—but not dramatically better than other flagship robot vacuums.

We’d also like to see MOVA continue expanding its mopping system. Features like electrolyzed water, warm-water mopping during cleaning, and additional cleaning solution options would make an already impressive system even more compelling.

These aren’t major flaws, but they’re areas we’d expect MOVA to continue improving in future flagship models.

Final Verdict: Should You Buy the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete?

After spending considerable time testing the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete, we think its biggest strength isn’t raw vacuuming power—it’s innovation.

The Eco-Cyclone bagless dock removes one of the biggest maintenance headaches of self-emptying robot vacuums. The extending mop genuinely improves cleaning coverage in places most robots simply can’t reach. Add excellent obstacle avoidance, impressive automation, strong pet features, and one of the most capable apps on the market, and the V70 delivers one of the most complete ownership experiences we’ve tested.

If you’re shopping for a premium robot vacuum, the V70 absolutely deserves a place on your shortlist. Just don’t buy it solely because of the 42,000 Pa number. Its biggest advantages come from smarter design, better automation, and one of the most advanced mopping systems available—not necessarily class-leading vacuuming performance alone.
