MOVA P50 Pro Ultra Review: Powerful 19,000Pa Robot Vacuum with Advanced Smart Mopping & Automation

Today we’re taking a closer look at the Mova P50 Pro Ultra, a feature-packed robot vacuum and mop designed to compete with some of the best premium models on the market. While this was our first time testing one of Mova’s robot vacuums, we’ve had excellent experiences with the brand’s wet dry vacs in the past, so expectations were already high going into this review.

After testing more than 100 robot vacuums on this channel, we were excited to see how the P50 Pro Ultra would stack up against the competition. A big thanks to Mova for sending this unit over for testing. As always, this review is not sponsored, and all opinions are entirely our own.

Unboxing and Setup

Inside the box, you’ll find the robot vacuum itself, the multifunction cleaning station, power cord, mop pads, cleaning solution, and the usual documentation.

Setup was quick and straightforward. After plugging in the dock, attaching the magnetic mop pads, filling the clean water tank, and adding the cleaning solution, the robot was ready to charge. Once connected to the Mova Home app, the P50 Pro Ultra was up and running within minutes.

The initial mapping process was fast, and navigation worked smoothly right from the start.

Cleaning Performance

The P50 Pro Ultra immediately impressed us with its mopping performance, which is clearly one of its biggest strengths. Our luxury vinyl plank floors looked fantastic after cleaning, and the automated mop washing and drying system helped keep maintenance to a minimum.

In our high-traffic, pet-filled home, the robot handled hair, crumbs, dust, and debris extremely well. Mova is a sister brand to Dreame, and the P50 definitely shares similarities with Dreame’s popular L-series lineup.

One of the standout features is the Tricut brush design, which has appeared on several Dreame models. While newer robot vacuums are increasingly shifting toward conical or split roller designs for improved anti-tangle performance, the Tricut system still performs very well in real-world use. Before conical rollers became popular, this was easily one of the best brush systems we tested for handling hair buildup.

That said, no brush system is perfect. The lack of a conical roller means the P50 isn’t quite as advanced as some of the newest premium models when it comes to preventing tangles entirely. However, this appears to be a deliberate trade-off to keep the P50 more affordable while still delivering flagship-level cleaning performance.

Suction Power and Carpet Cleaning

When it comes to raw power, the P50 Pro Ultra doesn’t disappoint. It delivers an impressive 19,000Pa of suction, which is more than double the average for the category.

Of course, that level of power comes with some added noise. At 78dB on maximum suction, it’s noticeably louder than many competitors, but the trade-off is worth it considering the cleaning performance.

In our carpet suction testing, the P50 achieved 507 FPM, significantly outperforming the category average of around 420 FPM. Interestingly, its measured airflow was slightly below average at 1.3kPa. We suspect the Tricut brush design may affect airflow efficiency compared to rubber roller systems, though that remains speculation on our part.

What matters most, however, is real-world performance, and this is where the P50 truly shines. It scored an outstanding 95 out of 100 in our overall cleaning tests, nearly 10 points above the average robot vacuum we’ve tested. In practical terms, this robot can genuinely make the difference between carpets that look acceptable and carpets that look truly clean.

Smart Mopping Features

The mopping system is equally impressive. While the mop lift height is fairly average, which is understandable given the robot’s slim design, the P50 includes one standout premium feature: automatic mop pad removal and reattachment at the dock.

This allows the robot to completely leave the mop pads behind when vacuuming carpets, eliminating the issue of dragging damp mop pads across rugs.

The extendable mop pads also help the robot clean deeper into corners and around furniture legs, improving edge coverage considerably.

At the base station, the hot water mop washing system performs above average and does an excellent job breaking down dirt and grime. Hot air drying performance is closer to average, but still effective enough for everyday use.

We were also happy to see a dedicated cleaning solution tank with automatic detergent dispensing, a small but very convenient feature that enhances the hands-off experience.

The station itself is thoughtfully designed for low maintenance. It can clean itself and includes a compact removable debris tray for easier upkeep.

One thing worth noting is that the P50 does not include electrolyzed water cleaning. For some users, this may actually be a positive, especially those sensitive to odors commonly associated with dirty water systems.

App Experience and Smart Features

The Mova Home app, available for both iOS and Android devices, is easily one of the most feature-rich robot vacuum apps we’ve tested. It offers an impressive level of customization and control, allowing users to fine-tune nearly every aspect of the cleaning experience. From adjusting vacuum and mopping behavior to creating custom cleaning routines for specific rooms or zones, the app feels incredibly polished and thoughtfully designed.

Features like multi-floor mapping, no-go zones, and room-specific cleaning settings all work reliably, while support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant makes voice control simple and convenient. There’s even a built-in voice assistant for hands-free operation directly through the robot itself.

Beyond the basics, the app includes several advanced features that help the P50 Pro Ultra stand out from the competition. AI-powered stain detection allows the robot to identify and respond to messier areas more effectively, while intensive carpet cleaning modes increase suction performance automatically when needed. Users can also enable off-peak charging to help reduce electricity costs and activate the side brush specifically for deeper carpet cleaning.

One particularly impressive addition is the live video monitoring feature with pet tracking support, which lets users remotely check in on their home while the robot is operating. Real-time maintenance tracking is also included, making it easier to stay on top of brush replacements, filter cleaning, and other routine upkeep.

Because of the sheer number of settings and features available, there is a slight learning curve at first. However, once you become familiar with the interface, the Mova Home app quickly becomes one of the most capable and customizable robot vacuum platforms available today. After testing nearly every major app in this category, this has easily become one of our personal favorites.

User Feedback and Real-World Issues

Since release, overall user feedback for the P50 Pro Ultra has been very positive, with many users praising its strong suction, reliable mapping, and simple setup process.

Some users have also noted how quiet the robot can be when operating at lower suction levels, which matches our own experience during testing.

However, there are a few recurring complaints worth mentioning. Some users, including ourselves, experienced occasional dry mopping behavior where the mop pads were not consistently saturated during cleaning sessions.

Hair pickup on carpets can also occasionally struggle with very fine pet hair, particularly from smaller dogs like Chihuahuas.

Obstacle avoidance performance is another mixed area. In our testing, effectiveness varied significantly depending on the object type and flooring surface. While it generally performed well, it’s not quite class-leading in this category.

Final Verdict

Overall, the Mova P50 Pro Ultra stands out as one of the most complete robot vacuums we’ve tested in its price range.

It combines extremely strong suction power, advanced mopping functionality, intelligent automation, and one of the best app experiences available into a well-rounded package that delivers excellent real-world cleaning performance.

While it does have a few limitations — including the lack of a conical roller brush, occasional dry mopping issues, and the absence of electrolyzed water cleaning — these trade-offs feel very reasonable considering its competitive pricing and extensive feature set.

If you’re looking for a robot vacuum that can genuinely compete with premium flagship models while still offering strong value for the money, the Mova P50 Pro Ultra is absolutely worth considering and easily earns a spot among our top recommendations.
