At the heart of the Roomba® Max 705 Vac is an impressive 180x increase in power-lifting suction, allowing it to tackle everything from everyday dust and crumbs to stubborn pet hair and deeply embedded debris. Paired with iRobot’s patented anti-tangle Dual Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes, the robot maintains constant contact with both carpets and hard floors while resisting hair buildup, making it especially well suited for homes with pets. An integrated Edge-Sweeping Brush also helps remove dirt from corners and along walls, while Carpet Boost technology automatically detects rugs and increases suction when additional cleaning power is needed.

Beyond raw cleaning performance, the Roomba® Max 705 Vac brings together several of iRobot’s latest navigation technologies to make autonomous cleaning more reliable than ever. The robot utilizes ClearView™ Pro LiDAR to rapidly map rooms and efficiently plan cleaning routes, allowing it to operate effectively during both daytime and nighttime. Complementing the mapping system is PrecisionVision™ AI Technology, which enables the robot to identify and avoid common household obstacles such as charging cables, socks, shoes, and even pet waste. Combined with built-in cliff sensors that prevent falls on staircases, these technologies help the Roomba clean confidently throughout the home while minimizing interruptions.
One of the standout features of the new model is its AutoEmpty™ Dock, which significantly reduces day-to-day maintenance. After each cleaning session, the dock automatically empties the robot’s dustbin into an enclosed bag capable of trapping particles as small as 0.7 microns. With enough capacity to hold debris for up to 75 days, users can enjoy weeks of uninterrupted cleaning without needing to manually empty the vacuum after every run.

The Roomba® Max 705 Vac also integrates seamlessly into modern smart homes. Cleaning tasks can be started with a single press of a button, through the Roomba Home App, or via voice commands using compatible Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant devices. iRobot has also confirmed that the robot will receive Matter certification later this year, allowing broader compatibility with the Apple Home ecosystem and other Matter-enabled smart home platforms.
