Design and Build Quality:
Both vacuums being from the same company share similar looks and features. The T30 builds upon the success of the T20 and offers even more features. Both units share the same internal dustbin capacity, water tank capacities, and battery capacities. Just looking at both vacuums you will notice the biggest difference is their color. The T20 has a white and silver design while the T30 is black with slight blue accents. Their key differences consist of their suction power, zero tangle brush, mopping systems and the design of their all-in-one stations. Though functionality remains the same, offering hot water mop washing, hot air drying, and self-emptying, the T30 has a smaller and more compact base . The T30S series includes the T30S Combo and T30S Combo Complete, which feature a handheld vacuum, additional brushes with built-in storage, and dual auto-empty for both the robot and handheld vacuums.
Cleaning Performance:
Now, let’s look at their cleaning performance. The T20 reaches 10.4 CFM and 78 decibels, while the T30S hits 10.0 CFM and 76.5 decibels. In our deep cleaning test the T20 scored an 85 while the T30 scored a 95. The zero tangle dual combo design on the T30 is a welcomed upgrade but long hairs can still get stuck. In regards to mopping, you will appreciate the extra coverage you get on the T30 with its edge-cleaning capability. Having hot water washing is a clutch feature of both vacuums as it keeps your mop pads fresh after every clean.
Navigation and Mapping:
Next, let’s look at how each model navigates and maps your home. Both vacuums use advanced sensors and LIDAR to detect obstacles and create detailed maps. They map quickly, support multi-level maps, and recognize steps to prevent falling. Larger obstacles are detected more reliably, but both struggle with small cords and pet waste.
Smart Features and Connectivity:
Another important factor to consider is the smart features and connectivity options. Both have a dedicated app giving you full control at your fingertips. iOS and Android devices welcome! Both units have a built-in voice assistant called YIKO that you can use if you like. Within both apps you can edit your map, customize your clean. The T30 is equipped with foot control. A unique feature we have not seen on any other robot vacuums.
Value:
Finally, let’s discuss overall value. With similar performance and features, the key differences lie in the all-in-one station design, edge mopping, and zero tangle brush. Depending on which T30 you get, the Combo and Combo Complete offer additional cordless vacuum options for hard-to-reach areas and dual self-emptying, which is very convenient. I prefer the T30S’s station design over the T20 because it is more compact and space saving.
Final Thoughts
Both models have excellent cleaning capabilities, so you’ll be satisfied with either choice. If affordability is your top priority, go with the T20. However, if you prefer the superior all-in-one station design, hotter mop pad washing, edge mopping, and zero tangle brush for hair households then the T30 offers excellent value.
