Dreame is bringing a new level of heat-powered cleaning to robot vacuums with the launch of the Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete at IFA 2026. The new flagship combines high-temperature steam, hot-water mopping, powerful suction, and advanced AI navigation in an effort to tackle tougher messes while requiring less hands-on cleaning. 180°C Steam Targets Tough Stains
The Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete is the first Dreame robot vacuum to feature a 180°C core steam source. The system generates steam within seconds and releases it through four outlets to help loosen dried-on and stubborn stains.
Once the steam has softened the mess, the robot follows up with hot-water mopping to lift and remove the loosened debris. Dreame says the system can achieve a 99.999% bacteria removal rate under its testing conditions.
The robot also uses Dreame’s AquaRoll real-time fresh-water mopping system, combining 18N of downward pressure with a roller spinning at up to 300 RPM for more consistent floor scrubbing.
The roller mop can extend outward by up to 8cm, giving the robot better reach along edges and into corners. That’s twice the extension length of the previous Aqua10 Ultra Roller Complete, while the Detangling SideReach system helps the robot clean around chair legs, cabinets, TV consoles, and other hard-to-reach areas.
Smarter Navigation and Obstacle Detection
Dreame is also upgrading the robot’s vision and navigation systems. Its AstroVision system and Versalift navigation work together to help the robot understand its surroundings and adjust its cleaning path.
The OmniSight System 4.0 can reportedly identify more than 320 types of objects and detect obstacles as small as 10mm, with a response time of just 0.1 seconds. The robot can also adapt its route as objects move around the home, which could be particularly useful in households with pets.
40,000Pa Suction and Improved Hair Management
For vacuuming, the Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete features up to 40,000Pa of suction and Dreame’s HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush 2.0.
The dual-brush setup combines a bristled brush designed to pull debris from tight spaces with a soft TPU rubber brush aimed at larger particles on carpets. Dreame says the system is designed to provide strong cleaning performance while keeping operating noise relatively low.
The robot can also handle substantial floor transitions. Its upgraded ProLeap obstacle-clearance system is rated for single-layer obstacles up to 5cm and double-layer obstacles up to 10cm.
Keeping Wet and Dry Cleaning Separate
Dreame has added several features designed to prevent the robot’s wet-cleaning components from causing problems when it moves onto carpets.
With AutoSeal Guard, the roller mop cover automatically seals when the robot detects carpet. The robot also uses TripleUp Tech, which can raise the side brush by 10mm, main brush by 5mm, and mop by 15mm to help separate wet and dry cleaning tasks.
After cleaning, the roller mop is washed with 100°C hot water. Dreame says the system also monitors the washboard temperature and waits for it to cool to a safe level before beginning another cleaning cycle.
A Flagship Robot Focused on Deep Cleaning
With its combination of 180°C steam, hot-water roller mopping, 40,000Pa suction, advanced obstacle detection, and improved corner reach, the Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete represents Dreame’s push toward more automated deep cleaning.
The focus is clearly on reducing the amount of manual intervention needed for stubborn stains, pet-related messes, carpets, and hard-to-reach areas. Pricing and U.S. availability details were not included in the announcement.
