The Yeedi app provides extensive control over the robot. Users can view and edit maps, create cleaning zones, set suction power, adjust water flow, and choose cleaning modes. The app supports vacuum-only, vacuum-and-mop, or mop-after-vacuum options, though it does not currently offer a mop-only mode. Users can set virtual walls, define no-go zones, and monitor maintenance needs. The app also allows for advanced settings like carpet boost, edge cleaning, child lock, and do-not-disturb mode.
Comparing to Other Robot Vacuums
Compared to the average robot vacuum, the Yeedi S14 Plus is in a different league. It offers more than three times the average suction power, excellent carpet deep-cleaning performance, and a long battery life of up to 270 minutes. While slightly taller than many competitors, it still maintains a uniform height that allows it to navigate most furniture and floor spaces. The hot water washing capability reaches 167°F, higher than the average of 154°F, improving mopping performance. The side brush can extend to clean corners, and the mop lifts automatically when encountering carpets—a feature found in very few other robots.
Areas for Improvement
Despite its strengths, there are several areas where the Yeedi S14 Plus could improve. It lacks a dedicated cleaning solution dispenser, which would make the mopping function more automated. A mop-only cleaning mode is also absent, limiting flexibility. Its uniform height prevents the robot from reaching some low toe-kick areas in kitchens, and while the sensors perform well, obstacle avoidance is average. The device does not offer live video monitoring, despite having the necessary camera hardware, a feature that some competitors provide.
Final Thoughts
