The Tineco Floor One Stretch S6 is a smart cordless floor washer that brings some genuinely innovative features to the wet dry vacuum category. Most notably, it introduces an impressive stretch design that allows the vacuum to lay nearly flat while continuing to clean, making it much easier to reach under furniture and into low-clearance spaces.

Setup and First Impressions

Getting the Floor One Stretch S6 up and running is quick and straightforward. Installation primarily consists of attaching the handle, which only fits one way, making the process virtually foolproof. Once the handle is securely snapped into place, the only remaining step is attaching the transparent tray to the charging base.

The first thing that stands out is the vacuum’s unique stretch functionality. The Floor One Stretch S6 can recline extremely low while maintaining full cleaning performance. This allows it to reach beneath furniture where traditional wet dry vacuums simply can’t fit. As long as there is enough clearance for the body of the machine, the Stretch S6 can clean underneath with ease.

Cleaning Performance

In everyday use, the Stretch S6 delivers excellent cleaning performance. The smart sensors automatically adjust cleaning power based on the amount of dirt detected, helping maximize both efficiency and battery life. Whether dealing with everyday dust, pet hair, or sticky spills, the vacuum effectively cleans hard floors while leaving minimal moisture behind.

After testing, the dirty water tank provided a clear indication of how much debris the machine was removing. The filter captured hair and larger particles effectively, while sediment settled at the bottom of the dirty water tank. Both the filter and tank are easy to remove and rinse clean after each use.

One important tip for owners: always empty the dirty water tank immediately after cleaning. Leaving dirty water sitting overnight can cause lingering odors that are difficult to eliminate, even after washing the container.

Self-Cleaning and Maintenance

One of the standout features of the Floor One Stretch S6 is its advanced self-cleaning system. After cleaning, the machine can automatically wash and dry the brush roller, significantly reducing maintenance requirements.

During inspection after multiple cleaning sessions, the brush roller remained remarkably clean. There was only minimal debris trapped around the housing, and the roller itself felt nearly dry after the drying cycle completed. A few strands of long hair were wrapped around internal components, but overall maintenance requirements were minimal.

The heated self-cleaning system does an excellent job of keeping the vacuum ready for its next use.

Performance Metrics Compared to the Competition

When comparing the Stretch S6 against other wet dry vacuums, it performs extremely well across nearly every category.

Noise levels measured slightly above average at 78 dB, compared to an average of 77 dB. In practical terms, the difference is negligible, and the Stretch S6 sounds very similar to most competing wet dry vacuums.

Airflow performance measured 408 feet per minute, slightly above the category average of 406 FPM. Suction testing also showed strong results, recording 1.83 compared to an average score of 1.45. These figures help explain the strong real-world cleaning performance observed during testing.

The vacuum operates with a rated power of 220 watts, which is lower than the category average of approximately 300 watts. Despite the lower power rating, cleaning performance remained excellent thanks to efficient design and smart power management.

Battery life is another area where the Stretch S6 shines. The unit delivered approximately 40 minutes of runtime, exceeding the category average of 36 minutes. This extended runtime is supported by its large 4,000 mAh battery, allowing users to clean larger spaces without interruption.

The clean water tank holds 800 mL, slightly above average, while the dirty water tank offers a generous 720 mL capacity. Both contribute to longer cleaning sessions with fewer interruptions for refilling or emptying.

Premium Hot Water Cleaning and Drying

Perhaps the most impressive upgrade found on the Stretch S6 is its heated self-cleaning system.

The machine uses hot water reaching approximately 158°F during brush washing. At the time of testing, this feature had only been seen on one other model: the Tineco Switch S7. The addition of heated water cleaning helps remove dirt, grease, and residue more effectively from the brush roller.

Similarly, the hot air drying system also reaches approximately 158°F, helping dry the roller quickly and thoroughly. This reduces moisture buildup and minimizes the potential for odors developing between cleaning sessions.

These premium maintenance features were previously reserved for higher-end models, making their inclusion here particularly impressive.

Dual Edge Cleaning

The Stretch S6 features dual-edge cleaning capability, allowing both sides of the cleaning head to reach close to baseboards and walls.

Many wet dry vacuums only offer edge cleaning on one side, forcing users to approach walls from a specific direction. With dual-edge cleaning, users can clean naturally without having to think about positioning the machine. Regardless of which side approaches the wall, the Stretch S6 cleans effectively right up to the edge.

The Missing Feature: LED Lighting

Despite its impressive feature set, one omission stands out.

The Stretch S6 does not include an LED headlight. While only a minority of wet dry vacuums currently offer integrated lighting, it feels like a missed opportunity here. Since one of the vacuum’s biggest selling points is its ability to reach underneath furniture and into darker spaces, an LED light would have made those areas significantly easier to inspect while cleaning.

It isn’t a deal-breaker, but it is a feature we would have liked to see included.

Stretch Functionality Changes Everything

The headline feature of the Floor One Stretch S6 is undoubtedly its ability to recline nearly flat while maintaining cleaning performance.

This functionality dramatically improves access under beds, couches, cabinets, and other furniture. During testing, it quickly became one of our favorite features. The convenience it adds is substantial, and after using it, it’s difficult to go back to traditional upright-only designs.

At the time of testing, only a handful of competing products offered similar functionality, making the Stretch S6 stand out in the market.

Final Verdict

The Tineco Floor One Stretch S6 has earned a place among the very best wet dry vacuums we’ve tested.

It combines strong cleaning performance, excellent maneuverability, long battery life, advanced heated self-cleaning technology, dual-edge cleaning, and a genuinely useful stretch design that improves real-world usability. While we would have preferred to see an integrated LED headlight and perhaps a slightly larger clean water tank, those are relatively minor criticisms in an otherwise excellent package.
