Unboxing the Roborock Qrevo S

The Roborock Qrevo S comes in a clean, organized package. The box highlights its key features, including 7,000 Pascals of suction power, auto mop lifting, Reactive Tech obstacle avoidance, auto mop washing and drying, and auto dust emptying. It’s also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, making it easy to integrate into a smart home setup.

Inside the box, you’ll find the vacuum itself, the dock base, the dock, a power cord, an extra vacuum bag, and all the guides you need to get started, including a quick start manual, safety information, and a detailed product diagram. Everything is neatly packed and clearly labeled, making setup straightforward.

Design and Features

The Roborock Qrevo S vacuum has a thoughtful design that balances functionality with simplicity. On the top, there are two control buttons, the Roborock logo, and a popup cover revealing a QR code for app setup. A Wi-Fi indicator and reset switch are also included. The dust bin is removable, with a replaceable filter and a small shoot for the self-emptying feature. The sides and front feature the Reactive Tech sensor suite and a navigational bumper, while the back houses the charging contacts, water inlet, and exhaust venting.

First Impressions and Cleaning Performance

After the first clean, the dust bin showed it had collected a mix of pet hair, human hair, leaves, crumbs, grass clippings, and cereal pieces. The filter captured fine dust effectively, preventing it from being blown back into the air. Both the side brush and main brush remained largely free of tangles, while the M-pads stayed clean and dry. The removable tray in the dock was easy to rinse and reinstall, making maintenance straightforward.

How It Stacks Up

Having tested over 80 robot vacuums, we can compare the Roborock Qrevo S to the average. With 7,000 Pascals of suction, it outperforms the typical 5,700 Pa average, giving it strong deep-cleaning power. Airflow is also above average at 10 CFM compared to the typical 6.9 CFM, helping it move dirt effectively. On carpets, it slightly exceeds average performance, scoring 90 in our deep-cleaning tests versus the average of 87.

Noise levels are slightly higher than average at 75 decibels, but not enough to be disruptive. Battery life is impressive at 180 minutes, thanks to a 5,200 mAh battery, giving you more runtime than most competitors.

The dustbin, at 330 mL, is slightly smaller than the average 415 mL, but the self-emptying system more than compensates for this. The mopping system is advanced, with rotary mops that lift, wash, clean, and dry themselves, although it does not use hot water.

While the Roborock Qrevo S excels in many areas, there are a few limitations. Obstacle avoidance is functional but struggles with small objects such as cords, toys, and pet waste. Hot water mop pad washing would improve cleaning performance, and features like dual roller brushes, main and side brush lifting, and LED navigation lights are absent. Live video monitoring is also not included, which some users may miss for security or pet monitoring.
