Roborock Qrevo CurvX Review: Premium Slim Robot Vacuum & Mop Performance Tested

Today we’re taking a closer look at the Roborock Qrevo CurvX, a premium robot vacuum and mop that feels like the slimmer sibling of the standard Curv series — almost as if the Curv and the Saros 10 had a crossover. Roborock sent this unit over for testing, but this is not a sponsored review, and all opinions are based on our real-world hands-on experience.

At first glance, the Qrevo CurvX stands out thanks to its rounded dock design, which gives it a more modern and distinctive appearance compared to the boxy docking stations most robot vacuums use. While the aesthetic is definitely appealing, there are a few compromises that become noticeable at this price point.

One of the biggest omissions is the lack of an onboard cleaning solution tank. For a flagship-level robot vacuum focused heavily on mopping performance, automatic solution dispensing feels like a feature that should already be included. Another disappointment is the absence of automatic mop pad removal for carpets. For many premium buyers, especially those with mixed flooring, that feature has become increasingly important.

The dock itself handles mop washing, water refilling, and hot-air drying well, but there’s also no built-in cable management system on the back of the station. It’s a small detail, but one that would have improved the overall premium feel.

Unboxing and Setup

Inside the box, you’ll find the robot vacuum, the multifunction dock, a gray power cable, and several pieces of documentation, including a large quick-start guide. Surprisingly, Roborock does not include extra vacuum bags, replacement filters, or cleaning solution samples in the package, which feels a bit stingy considering the cost of the unit.

Setup is straightforward. Attach the mop pads, plug in the dock, fill the clean water tank, and allow the robot to charge. Once connected through the app, it’s ready to begin mapping and cleaning.

Design and Cleaning Hardware

The Qrevo CurvX uses Roborock’s DuoDivide main brush system, which is one of the highlights of this model. The split-roller design helps funnel debris directly into the dustbin while significantly reducing hair tangles. During testing, hair wrap was virtually nonexistent, making it an excellent option for homes with pets or long hair.

Roborock has also adopted a slightly conical brush design similar to what we’ve seen from brands like Narwal and Dreame, and it performs very well in practice. Combined with the extending side brush and extended mop pad, the CurvX does a solid job improving edge cleaning, although it still isn’t perfect in tight corners.

For mopping, the robot uses dual spinning mop pads instead of vibrating pads or roller systems. This setup tends to be easier to maintain while still delivering excellent floor coverage. In testing, the robot left LVP floors looking clean and streak-free. While slight damp marks were visible immediately after cleaning, they disappeared once the floors dried.

Performance and Real-World Cleaning

Roborock rates the Qrevo CurvX at 22,000Pa of suction power, matching the Saros 10 and 10R on paper. While manufacturer suction claims can vary widely, real-world testing paints a clearer picture.

In airflow testing, the CurvX achieved 440 FPM, slightly above the category average of 423 FPM. Pressure testing reached 23 kPa, which is below the category average of 39 kPa, though this is fairly typical for Roborock models using the DuoDivide brush system.

Numbers only tell part of the story, though. In carpet deep-clean testing using embedded coffee grounds, the CurvX scored 95%, placing it well above average. It also performed strongly in sand pickup tests and excelled with larger debris like cat litter.

Overall, vacuuming performance is impressive, especially on hard floors and standard carpet cleaning tasks. Like most robot vacuums, however, it struggles slightly more with extremely fine debris.

Noise levels were also reasonable. On maximum suction, the robot reached around 75 dB, only slightly louder than average and unlikely to be noticeable unless directly compared side-by-side.

Battery Life and Coverage

Battery life is rated at up to 220 minutes using the built-in 6,400mAh battery. In best-case testing scenarios using lower suction settings, the CurvX covered nearly 4,000 square feet, which is comfortably above average.

However, when deep-cleaning carpets on maximum suction, runtime dropped significantly below average, covering just 673 square feet before requiring a recharge. That’s worth considering for larger carpet-heavy homes that frequently rely on max-power cleaning.

In everyday use, though, the robot feels efficient and reasonably quick, especially during standard hard-floor cleaning sessions.

Obstacle Avoidance

Obstacle avoidance is one of the weaker aspects of the Qrevo CurvX.

On hard floors, performance was respectable. The robot successfully navigated around larger obstacles like toy trucks and cans with relatively few issues. On carpet, however, detection performance dropped dramatically. Smaller items were frequently bumped or run over, and the robot struggled to consistently recognize low-profile obstacles.

This has been a recurring issue with several Roborock models in similar testing environments. Carpet patterns, lighting conditions, and object size all seem to affect performance quite a bit.

For households with lots of toys, cords, socks, or pet items on the floor, it’s still safest to tidy up before running automated cleanings.

App Experience and Smart Features

The Roborock app continues to be one of the best in the industry. Available on both iOS and Android, it offers a polished and highly customizable experience.

Users can create room-specific cleanings, zones, routines, no-go areas, and adjust suction or water flow settings individually. Multi-floor mapping is supported, and dock controls allow manual activation of mop washing, dustbin emptying, and drying cycles.

The Qrevo CurvX also supports Amazon Alexa, Apple, and Google smart home integrations. Additional features include live video monitoring, remote driving controls, off-peak charging, and deep carpet cleaning customization.

The app currently maintains strong user ratings, and it’s easy to see why. Navigation throughout the interface is intuitive, responsive, and feature-rich without becoming overwhelming.

User Feedback and Community Reception

Customer reception for the Qrevo CurvX has generally been positive, particularly regarding its vacuuming performance, mopping quality, slim design, and hair-handling capabilities.

Many users appreciate how effectively it cleans under furniture and handles daily maintenance cleaning. The DuoDivide brush system also receives frequent praise for reducing hair tangles.

That said, common criticisms mirror many of our own observations. Obstacle avoidance remains inconsistent, especially around cords and smaller objects. Some users also feel the water delivery and grout-cleaning performance could be stronger.

Hard-floor performance is excellent, hair management is among the best we’ve tested, and the app experience remains top-tier. However, the missing solution tank, lack of automatic mop pad removal, inconsistent obstacle avoidance, and premium pricing keep it from feeling like a complete package.

For buyers prioritizing strong mopping performance, quiet operation, and a slim design, the Qrevo CurvX is still a compelling option. But for the price, it also feels like a robot vacuum that’s very close to greatness without fully reaching it.
