Eufy E25 Robot Vacuum and Roller Mop Review

Today we are taking a close look at the Eufy E25 Robot Vacuum and Mop. It is the younger sibling to the Eufy E28, which is almost identical but adds a portable carpet cleaner to its station. Eufy did send us this unit for testing, but as always, our thoughts are completely honest. If you want to check it out, the purchase link is here:

Unboxing and Setup

Inside the box you get the robot vacuum, the charging and cleaning station, the station ramp, a power cord, a bottle of cleaning solution, and the product literature. The E25 comes with one vacuum bag preinstalled although no additional bags are included.

Setup is quick. Attach the ramp, add cleaning solution, fill the water tank, and let it charge. Once that is done, you are ready for your first cleaning run.

First Cleaning Impressions

After the first clean, we were surprised by how much debris it collected. We have five people in the house, three with long hair, plus a long-haired dog. The E25 handled crumbs, dirt, dust, and hair without hesitation. The DuoSpiral Detangle rollers make a big difference and are a long overdue upgrade for Eufy. These rollers are a major step forward and something we expect to see across more models. The extending side brush is another welcome update. It reaches deeper into corners and matches what we typically see from higher end robot vacuums.

Self-Emptying and Mopping Performance

The E25’s base station brings real convenience with automated washing and drying. Eufy’s older detangling combs and cutters never delivered the best results, so this new cleaning approach is a big improvement. Mopping performance is one of the key selling points of this model. Our LVP floors looked great after cleaning and we did not notice any streaks. The mop roller was spotless once the cleaning cycle finished and Eufy extended the roller underneath the robot as far as possible to maximize coverage. Tired of reading? Performance Benchmarks

After testing more than 130 robot vacuums, we place the E25 in the premium category. It is priced above average but still below flagship levels. While its 20,000 Pa suction rating looks impressive on paper, it scored below average in our airflow and pressure tests. Measured CFM came in slightly under average, which is not what you hope to see from a premium unit. The good news is that max FPM measured slightly above average.

Deep Cleaning

In our carpet deep cleaning test, the E25 scored 80 out of 100. This is lower than many premium models but similar to Eufy’s E20 and C20. We were hoping to see performance closer to the S1 Pro. Noise peaked at 72 dB which is slightly below average. Battery life is advertised at 180 minutes and thanks to its 5200 mAh battery, that estimate is accurate.

Realistic Battery Coverage

To help you estimate real world coverage:

  • On the lowest suction setting, the E25 reached 5920 square feet which is 2590 square feet above average.
  • On max suction, it covered 1345 square feet which is 514 square feet above average.

These are some of the best ranges we have recorded. Most users should expect real world results somewhere in between depending on their flooring and suction settings. We have also begun tracking hard floor cleaning speed. The E25 covered 1.6 square meters per minute which is above the 1.3 square meter average. The takeaway is that the E25 is fast and efficient with strong battery performance. Its lower deep cleaning score shows that part of its efficiency comes from using less power on carpets compared to more aggressive deep cleaning models.

HydroJet Mopping System

Many buyers will consider the E25 for its HydroJet mopping system which is the same one used in Eufy’s flagship S1 Pro. The roller measures 11.4 inches and covers almost the entire underside of the robot. The system constantly pulls dirty water off the roller and replaces it with clean water in real time. This prevents the smearing effect seen on traditional spinning pad systems and helps remove invisible dirt. The mop also lifts automatically when crossing carpet. There are still a few areas for improvement. A slightly extended mop roller would help with corners and edges. The lack of a mop-only mode is also frustrating, especially since vacuuming while mopping can send moisture into the dustbin. Support for lifting the main brush would solve that issue.

App and Smart Features

The Eufy Clean app is simple and easy to navigate. It includes:

  • Home, room, zone, and custom cleaning modes
  • Adjustable suction and mop settings
  • Multi-level mapping for up to five maps
  • No-go zones, no-mop zones, and virtual walls
  • BoostIQ for automatic suction adjustments
  • Manual controls
  • Off-peak charging
  • Optional experimental features in Eufy Lab

User and Community Feedback

The E25 currently holds a 4.3 out of 5 rating which is the highest we have seen for a Eufy vacuum. Customers praise its value, quiet operation, strong hard floor cleaning, and pet hair pickup. Most complaints involve dirty-water tank leaks, minor app bugs, and mixed experiences with battery life. Reddit users appreciate its mopping system, fast mapping, and low-maintenance rollers. Some note navigation quirks, the occasional stuck moment, and a few report issues with water returning properly to the tank. Edge cleaning is another area users would like to see improved.

Our Take

Every robot vacuum has room for improvement and the E25 is no different. We would like to see extended edge coverage on the mop, earlier activation of the side brush, and a brief pause in corners for a deeper clean. A mop-only mode and a brush lift would make the system even more effective. The Eufy E25 is a premium-level robot vacuum that shines on hard floors and offers excellent mopping with its large HydroJet roller and self-cleaning station. It is fast and efficient with strong coverage and reliable battery life. Suction and deep carpet cleaning fall short of top-tier models, but general floor care and pet hair performance are solid. For homes that prioritize mopping and everyday maintenance over heavy carpet cleaning, the E25 delivers a convenient, low-maintenance experience.
