Today we’re taking a closer look at the eufy E25 robot vacuum and mop, the younger sibling to the eufy E28. While the two models share a very similar design and feature set, the E28 includes a built-in portable carpet cleaner integrated into the docking station. That makes the E25 the more streamlined option for buyers who want premium robot vacuum and mopping performance without the extra attachment.
eufy sent us this unit for testing, but as always, this review is not sponsored, and all opinions are based entirely on our hands-on experience after extensive testing.

Unboxing and Setup
Inside the box, you’ll find the robot vacuum itself, the self-cleaning dock, a station ramp, power cord, cleaning solution, and product literature. One vacuum bag comes pre-installed in the dock, though no extra replacement bags are included.
Getting everything ready only takes a few minutes. After attaching the ramp, filling the clean water tank, and adding the cleaning solution, the robot is ready to charge and begin its first cleaning session. The setup process feels straightforward and beginner-friendly, which is something we always appreciate with premium robot vacuums.

Strong First Impressions
After the first cleaning run, we were immediately impressed by how much debris the E25 managed to collect. In a busy household with five people, including three with long hair and a long-haired dog, the robot handled everyday dirt exceptionally well. Crumbs, dust, pet hair, and fine debris were all removed effectively from both hard floors and carpets.
One of the standout upgrades is the Duo Spiral Detangle brush system. Hair pickup was excellent, but more importantly, hair wrapping around the brushes was kept to a minimum. It’s a design trend we’ve increasingly seen across premium robot vacuums, and it’s good to finally see eufy move toward a more modern anti-tangle solution. Older eufy detangling systems with built-in combs and cutting mechanisms never delivered the best real-world results in our experience, so this redesign feels like a meaningful improvement.
The extending side brush is another overdue but welcome addition. It allows the E25 to clean deeper into corners and along edges, helping it compete more directly with other premium models in the category.
The HydroJet Mopping System Steals the Show
Mopping is clearly the main focus of the E25, and in many ways, it’s the reason this robot stands out from the competition.
Our luxury vinyl plank floors consistently looked excellent after cleaning. The HydroJet roller system does a noticeably better job than traditional spinning mop pads because it continuously removes dirty water from the roller while replenishing it with clean water in real time. Instead of simply dragging grime across the floor, the E25 actively washes as it cleans, which leads to noticeably fresher-looking floors, especially when dealing with fine dirt and everyday messes.
The roller itself is impressively large at 11.4 inches wide, covering nearly the entire underside of the robot. That extra coverage helps reduce missed spots and improves overall efficiency during cleaning runs. We also appreciated that the roller mop automatically lifts itself when driving over carpet, preventing wet carpets during mixed cleaning sessions. At this point, that’s a must-have feature in any premium robot vacuum, and thankfully eufy implemented it well here.
One pleasant surprise was the lack of streaking after mopping. Some roller-style systems can leave visible lines behind on certain flooring types, but we didn’t experience that issue during testing.
Carpet Cleaning Is Good, But Not Exceptional
While the E25 excels on hard floors, carpet cleaning performance feels less impressive considering its premium positioning.
eufy advertises the vacuum with 20,000Pa suction power, which sounds extremely impressive on paper. However, our real-world airflow and pressure testing told a more balanced story. Measured airflow actually came in slightly below average compared to other premium robot vacuums we’ve tested, although maximum airspeed was slightly above average.
Deep carpet cleaning results reflected those numbers. In our testing, the E25 scored 80 out of 100 during deep cleaning evaluations. That’s still respectable performance, but it falls short of some competing premium models and even lands closer to eufy’s own mid-range offerings like the E20 and C20 rather than flagship-level performers such as the S1 Pro.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the E25 performs poorly on carpets. For everyday maintenance cleaning, it still does a solid job. However, buyers expecting class-leading deep carpet extraction may find themselves wanting more.
Battery Life and Efficiency Are Excellent
One area where the E25 genuinely impressed us was battery performance.
Equipped with a 5,200mAh battery, the robot is rated for up to 180 minutes of runtime, and our testing showed very strong real-world efficiency. On lower suction settings, the E25 was capable of covering nearly 5,920 square feet before fully draining the battery, which is dramatically above average compared to other models we’ve tested.
Even on maximum suction settings, the robot still managed approximately 1,345 square feet before needing to recharge. Those are some of the strongest coverage numbers we’ve seen so far and make the E25 particularly appealing for larger homes.
Cleaning speed was equally impressive. The robot moved efficiently across hard floors and consistently covered more area per minute than the average robot vacuum in our database. That efficiency helps explain why the E25 feels especially well-suited for routine whole-home cleaning.
The App Experience
The eufy Clean app provides a clean, user-friendly experience that’s easy to navigate even for first-time robot vacuum owners. Users can create up to five saved maps and customize cleaning sessions using room, zone, or whole-home cleaning modes.
The app also supports no-go zones, no-mop zones, virtual walls, adjustable suction levels, and customizable mop settings. Features like BoostIQ automatic suction adjustment and off-peak charging are included as well, along with access to experimental features through eufy Lab.
Overall, the software experience feels polished and modern, though we did notice a few occasional navigation quirks during testing. At times, the robot hesitated around furniture or positioned itself awkwardly in tighter spaces, though these moments were relatively infrequent.
Areas That Still Need Improvement
As impressive as the E25’s mopping system is, there are still a few areas where we’d like to see refinement.
Edge and corner cleaning could improve further if eufy added a slightly extending mop roller. While the extending side brush certainly helps, corners still aren’t cleaned quite as thoroughly as the center of the floor.
We’d also like to see a more prominent dedicated mop-only mode included within the default cleaning options. Vacuuming and mopping simultaneously can occasionally allow moisture and debris to make their way into the dustbin during wet cleaning sessions. Adding a brush lift mechanism while mopping would further improve the overall system.
Some users have also reported dirty water tank leakage and occasional software bugs, concerns that appeared repeatedly in both customer reviews and Reddit discussions.
Final Verdict
The eufy E25 sits comfortably in the premium robot vacuum category and delivers one of the better mopping experiences currently available. Its HydroJet roller system does an excellent job maintaining hard floors while requiring relatively little maintenance from the user. Combined with outstanding battery life, efficient navigation, and strong pet hair handling, the E25 offers a highly convenient everyday cleaning experience.
However, its carpet deep-cleaning performance doesn’t quite match the lofty expectations set by its premium price tag and advertised suction numbers. Buyers with large amounts of carpet may want stronger deep-cleaning performance, while households with mostly hard flooring will likely appreciate the E25 far more.
For users prioritizing mopping performance, low-maintenance operation, and reliable whole-home cleaning, the eufy E25 proves to be a very capable and well-rounded robot vacuum.
