Unboxing and Setup

Unboxing the X9 Pro Omni is a straightforward experience. Inside the box, you’ll find the robot vacuum itself, the upgraded OmniStation, a power cord, product literature, and a quick start guide. Setting it up is simple: plug in the dock, fill the clean water tank, add your preferred cleaning solution, and allow it to charge. Once connected to the Ecovacs Home app, the vacuum is ready to start cleaning.

Cleaning Performance

Right out of the gate, the X9 Pro Omni impressed with its mopping performance. In a home with pets and high foot traffic, it handled hair, crumbs, and fine dust effortlessly. The new ZeroTangle 3.0 system kept the side brush mostly hair-free, although for households dealing with particularly heavy pet hair, a conical or split main roller would typically perform better at preventing tangles.

From a design perspective, the X9 Pro integrates its LIDAR navigation system into the center of the unit, giving it a consistent height across the body. Naturally, that level of power comes with some noise, registering 81.2 dB at maximum settings. For many, this is a reasonable trade-off considering the performance.

However, raw numbers don’t always tell the full story. In our deep carpet cleaning test, the X9 Pro scored 85 out of 100, slightly below average.

Despite its impressive specs, it does a bit less with more, which can feel disappointing given the premium hardware. On the mopping side, though, the X9 Pro performs admirably. It has a respectable mop lift height, and the OmniStation provides above-average hot water mop washing and hot air drying in a compact footprint.
