Dyson has expanded its smart home cleaning lineup with the introduction of the Spot+Scrub Ai™ Wet and Dry Robot Vacuum, a new flagship robot cleaner that combines powerful vacuuming, intelligent mopping, and AI-driven stain detection in a fully automated package. Designed to reduce the amount of hands-on maintenance required, the new robot features adaptive cleaning technology, onboard AI processing, and a self-maintaining docking station that handles emptying, washing, refilling, and charging automatically.
Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai™ Wet and Dry Robot Vacuum - Self Cleaning Wet Roller, 18000 PA Suction, Detangling Roller, Ai Stain Identification
One of the standout innovations is Dyson’s AI-powered stain detection system. A precisely aligned high-contrast green light works alongside an HD camera to reveal spills and stains that may otherwise be difficult to spot on hard floors.

Rather than relying on a single cleaning pass, the onboard AI identifies the type of mess and determines how aggressively it should be cleaned. For stubborn stains, the robot can revisit the same area up to 15 times, checking the floor after each pass before moving on to ensure the stain has been removed.
The Spot+Scrub Ai™ is also built to transition seamlessly between different floor surfaces. When moving from hard flooring onto rugs or carpets, the microfiber wet roller automatically lifts to prevent moisture from reaching carpeted areas, while suction power increases to deliver up to 18,000Pa for deeper debris removal. According to Dyson, the robot can boost suction by up to four times when cleaning carpets, making it more effective at capturing dust, pet hair, allergens, and fine debris.
For hard floors, Dyson has developed a continuously self-cleaning microfiber roller that aims to leave behind a streak-free finish. Instead of spreading dirty water across the floor, the roller is cleaned during every rotation as contaminated water is extracted and replaced with fresh water. Heated water reaching approximately 140°F (60°C) is used both during cleaning and while the robot is docked, helping loosen sticky residue and improve overall cleaning performance.
Edge cleaning also receives special attention. Sensors detect walls and furniture before automatically extending the wet roller outward to clean closer to baseboards and corners, while dual side sweepers funnel dust and debris toward Dyson’s silicone brush bar for collection.
Navigation is powered by a combination of 28 sensors and dual-laser LiDAR technology that scans the surrounding environment multiple times each second. This enables the robot to create accurate floor maps, intelligently navigate around obstacles, and optimize cleaning paths throughout the home. Dyson notes that all AI processing takes place locally within the robot itself, eliminating the need for cloud-based image processing and ensuring captured images are not stored on the device.
Maintenance is largely automated through Dyson’s new hygienic cyclonic dock. Once cleaning is complete, the robot returns to its base where it automatically empties collected debris, washes the microfiber roller using heated water, refills the clean water tank, and recharges for its next cleaning session.
Unlike many competing robot vacuums that rely on disposable dust bags, Dyson’s bagless cyclonic system is designed to store up to 100 days of dry debris while maintaining consistent suction performance. The dock also incorporates filtration capable of capturing microscopic dust particles as small as 0.1 microns during the emptying process.
Users can manage the robot through the MyDyson app, which supports automatic LiDAR-based home mapping, intelligent room labeling, customized cleaning schedules, room-specific cleaning, no-go zones, real-time cleaning progress, and estimated cleaning times. Once configured, the robot is designed to operate with minimal user intervention while adapting its cleaning behavior based on the environment.
The Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai™ represents the company’s latest effort to bring artificial intelligence into everyday home cleaning. By combining adaptive suction, intelligent stain recognition, automated wet-and-dry cleaning, and a self-maintaining dock, Dyson is positioning its newest robot vacuum as a premium solution for households looking for a more capable and autonomous cleaning experience.
