Today we’re taking a closer look at the MOVA X4 Pro cordless wet dry vacuum, a model that brings premium features and advanced heat-based cleaning technology to a surprisingly competitive price point. MOVA sent over this review sample, but as always, all opinions are entirely our own.
From the moment you unbox the X4 Pro, it’s clear that MOVA aimed to deliver a complete cleaning package. Inside the box, you’ll find the main vacuum unit, snap-in handle, charging base, cleaning brush, extra washable filter, extra roller brush, a bottle of cleaning solution, and the usual product documentation. Setup is refreshingly simple. Attach the handle, add the cleaning solution to the water tank, fill it up, and place the unit on the charger. After that, it’s ready to clean.

Performance That Exceeds Expectations
The MOVA X4 Pro sits near the average price range for cordless wet dry vacuums, but its feature set feels much closer to what you’d expect from more expensive flagship models.
Its suction power reaches 20,000 Pascals, which is noticeably above the category average of around 18,000 Pascals. Combined with strong airflow, the X4 Pro handles both wet spills and dry debris effectively, making it a versatile all-in-one floor cleaner.
Battery life is another area where the X4 Pro performs well. In standard operation, runtime can reach up to 45 minutes, comfortably exceeding the average runtime in this category. That gives it enough endurance to clean larger apartments or even multiple floors in one session.
When using the heated water mode, runtime drops to around 25 minutes, which is understandable considering the additional energy required to heat water. In real-world use, the best approach is to reserve heated mode for tougher messes and rely on Auto or Ultra mode for regular cleaning. This balance helps maximize battery life while still benefiting from the enhanced stain removal capabilities.
Noise levels are also reasonable. At roughly 76 dB during operation, the X4 Pro stays slightly below the category average, making it less disruptive during daily cleaning.

Advanced Heat-Based Cleaning
The standout feature of the MOVA X4 Pro is easily its heat-assisted cleaning system.
Unlike many competitors that rely on steam cleaning, the X4 Pro uses a constant 176°F hot water mopping system paired with a dedicated spot heat spray function. In practice, this approach feels more practical than traditional steam. The system heats up quickly, delivers consistent results, and allows users to activate heated spot cleaning only when needed, helping preserve battery life.
The self-cleaning system is equally impressive. After each cleaning session, the roller brush is rinsed with 212°F hot water to dissolve dirt and residue before being dried with 194°F hot air. Users can choose between a rapid 5-minute drying cycle or quieter 15- to 30-minute drying modes depending on their needs.
The end result is a roller brush that stays fluffy, fresh, and odor-free with very little maintenance required.
Excellent Maneuverability and Smart Design
Although the X4 Pro weighs around 11.7 pounds, it rarely feels cumbersome in daily use thanks to its self-propelling roller brush and highly maneuverable 60-degree swivel head. Navigating around furniture and tight spaces feels smooth and natural.
One of the most useful design features is its true 180-degree lie-flat capability, allowing the vacuum to slide under furniture as low as 5.1 inches. For homes with beds, couches, or cabinets that are difficult to clean underneath, this feature makes a noticeable difference.
The dual-edge cleaning design also helps improve coverage along baseboards and corners, reducing the need for follow-up cleaning passes.
MOVA also includes a built-in green LED headlight for low-light cleaning situations. While the light itself is useful, we do wish users had full manual control over it. Currently, it only activates during spot spray mode or lie-flat cleaning.

Another thoughtful addition is the tooth-shaped anti-tangle comb system, which does an excellent job preventing hair wrap around the roller brush. Homes with pets or long hair will especially appreciate this feature.
Docking and charging are equally convenient. Instead of needing to carefully align the vacuum with its charging contacts, users can simply push the X4 Pro into its dock where it automatically powers down and begins charging.
User Feedback and Real-World Impressions
Since release, the MOVA X4 Pro has received largely positive feedback from users, averaging around 4.4 stars overall.
Many users praise its combination of strong suction, cordless convenience, and advanced self-cleaning capabilities. Homes with pets and children especially benefit from its ability to handle daily messes while minimizing maintenance.
Owners also frequently highlight the tangle-free roller brush, smooth maneuverability, and hot water spot cleaning system as standout features. The lie-flat design has also proven especially useful for cleaning under furniture.
That said, there are a few recurring complaints worth mentioning. Some users feel the hot water cleaning isn’t quite as hot as marketing materials suggest, while others note that stubborn dried-on stains may still require multiple passes. A few users also mentioned that the plastic housing can scratch fairly easily over time.
Areas That Could Be Improved
Despite its impressive feature set, the X4 Pro isn’t perfect.
The clean water tank can feel somewhat awkward to remove and reinstall, especially compared to some competing designs. There’s also no dedicated detergent reservoir, meaning cleaning solution must be manually mixed into the water tank each time.
Battery life in heated mode drops fairly quickly, which is expected, but still important to keep in mind for larger cleaning sessions.
We also found it limiting that spray mode is only available while using heated cleaning. There were situations where we wanted to add extra water to a specific area without activating full hot water mode.
Similarly, the LED headlight would benefit from full manual control rather than only activating in specific situations.
Finally, the dirty water tank design could use refinement. If carried carelessly, it’s relatively easy to spill dirty water unless you support it carefully with both hands.
Final Verdict
The MOVA X4 Pro delivers one of the most feature-rich experiences currently available in the cordless wet dry vacuum category.
Its combination of powerful suction, hot water cleaning, advanced self-cleaning technology, anti-tangle performance, and lie-flat design creates a genuinely premium cleaning experience at a highly competitive price.
While there are a few minor quirks — including limited LED control, a somewhat clunky clean water tank, and reduced runtime in heated mode — these issues are relatively small compared to the overall value the X4 Pro provides.
For households with pets, children, or anyone looking for an efficient all-in-one floor cleaning solution with minimal upkeep, the MOVA X4 Pro stands out as one of the strongest options currently available.
At the time of testing, after reviewing more than 30 wet dry vacuums, very few competitors come close to matching the X4 Pro’s combination of features and value.
